About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Flying out of China and then back in for Transit

I'm flying out of china before my visa expires to go to Sydney. But my return flight is from Beijing again. So I will come back to Beijing airport and have to wait around about hours for my next flight. This is with a different airline, so I will have to collect my luggage and check them in again with the other airline.

Is it still okay for me to do this 72 hours free transit? I have fully paid return flight ticket out of Beijing and I won't be leaving the airport during that time. Thanks
