About:Chinese Embassy in Vietnam

tourist visa application for china from Hanoi

Hello, I'm a Dutch citizen and am planning to travel from Vietnam to China.
Do I need details of pre-booked hostel/hotel in China if I want to apply for a tourist L? Or can I apply it without pre-booking a hotel/hostel?
And also, should I make an appointment or is it on walk-in basis?

For application, you need to submit your pre-booked hotel/hostel confirmation letters and your round trip tickets to China. Besides, you still need to provide a proof of your legal status in Vietnam.

You just walk to the embassy for hand in your documents and the appointment is not needed.
