is a return ticket must for entering china on a business trip?

I have obtained the travel documents(visa),the company invited me for training purposes. But they have informed me that they shall book the return tickets during the training period. But my travel agent says return ticket is must to enter China when entering with Business type?

I did not hear it before. If you already got your travel documents, you can enter China easily. But you are still suggested to confirm this with local Chinese embassy to avoid any problems.
