It is available to enjoy the 72-hour free transit on your second trip to Shanghai.
Just tell your airline that you want to enjoy this policy and they will help you to tell the airport in advance. Then you only need to get your stay permit stamp to leave the airport with your passport and flight ticket to Canada.
