About:China Tourist Visa

can someone help me with a question I have with regards to my Chinese visa application?

Hi, I am enclosing a recent bank statement. does my account need to have so much in it? My planned trip is for 2 weeks.

Are you a British? I didn't hear that British people were required to provide bank statement for the Chinese L type. Does the consular department or CVASC branch ask for this?
