About:Jinshanling Great Wall

Can I flag down a bus from Jinshanling rest area to Beijing?

If I miss the last tourist bus back to Beijing,is it possible to just flag down a Beijong bound local bus from the Jinshanling rest area?
If so,where would it drop me off at?
How long would it take?
Cost?

Hi, it is not suggested to take local bus because it is very expensive, probably more than RMB 500. It is ok if you request the driver to drop you at any place you need anyway. The journey takes at least one hour.

I guess Joe thought you took a taxi back to Beijing. If you just flag down a bus, it should cost 30 to 50 RMB.

Dale, it depends on the driver. There should be some long distance buses from other cities to Beijing. You may flag down these buses and they will take you to the bus stations. Of course, you may negotiate with the driver and conductor if he can put you down somewhere you prefer.
