About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Flying into Shanghai to catch cruise to Singapore on same day - Is VISA required

I am flying from Australia to Shanghai Pu Dong airport and have arranged transfer direct to Pier Shanghai Pu Dong on the same day to board a cruise (leaving on the same day) to Singapore and calling into Hong Kong (2 days).

No, it is not required, but you need to apply for a stay permit at the airport.
