valid F visa, passport just under 6 month

Hi,

I'm a Swedish citizen residing in Canada. I was recently on a business trip to China and may need to go back soon again. Problem is my passport expires at the end of December 2014, (by then the F has expired too) - can I travel to China again before I manage to get my passport renewed? The possible trip will be urgent and happening this month or early August.
