About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

Student visa question.

Hello,

I am due to start university for a year in china this September however I would like to arrive a few days early to sort out my accommodation in time. My JW202 application states that the duration is 09-15 and also the deadline for registration is 04-09-14. Does that mean if I arrived around the 29th of August in china I wouldn't be allowed entry into the country?

Sorry there is a mistake there I meant the duration is 09-14 NOT 09-15

Hi, the deadline for registration is 04-09, then you must come before that date. But keep in mind that you should apply for residence permit within 30 days after entry, so it is not a good idea to enter China too early. The university can only help you with the application of residence permit after registration.
