It is a pity that you cannot apply for it in Canada, because they need legal residence status at least.

Hi
Thanx Phobe,,
I just saw some similar questions posted by Tim and other Aussie tourists and they got the answer yes for applying china visa in Vancouver.. I'm really confused now.

And if I have the ESTA from America would it help?

Thank you very much!!

Hi, Roxie. According to the latest policy, citizens of other countries staying in British Columbia and the Yukon Territory with appropriate legal status (e.g.permanent resident card or work or study visa) can apply from the CVASC in Vancouver.

For the Toronto center, applicants from other countries should stay in Ontario and Manitoba also with appropriate legal status.
