L visa questions on staying and working

Hi, two questions. I have an L type, Multiple entries, good for one year, duration of each stay 60 days.

1. This means I can come and go as often as I want for the next year, provided each stay is less than 60 days , right? So I can come to China for a month, then back to USA for 2 weeks, then back to China for a month, then back to USA for 2 weeks, then back to China for a month. etc (essentially 4 weeks China/2 weeks USA for the next year until it expires).

2. My work is not China-based in any way. While I am in China, if I have phone calls with my USA-based workmates, or exchange emails with them (in summary... I'd be "working"), is there any danger to this, anything that I should keep in mind if I do this?

Thanks!

Anon, your understanding for duration of each stay is correct. And you needn't worry about making phone calls and email exchanges with your workmates. It won't cause you any problem.
