72 hour visa free exception in Qingdao?

I am heading from Taipei to Qingdao, and then to Incheon. I have an 18 hour layover in Qingdao that is overnight. Can I apply for the 72hour exception in Qingdao? I looked on a lot of sites, and didn't see Qingdao airport (TAO) on the list. Some sites said you should be ok, but I don't want to risk a fine or any other problems. Thanks.

Yes, Qingdao is not included in the list for 72 hour free transit. But since your stopover is less than 24 hours, you still enjoy free transit (suitable for 24 hour free transit in China). If you need to go out of the airport, you can apply for a stay permit after arrival at the airport showing your passport, flight ticket and hotel reservation if any.
