Qualifying for the 240 hour visa exception

I am traveling with a group of 25 departing Chicago ORD on June 27, 2025 to Hong Kong then June 29 to Beijing. We will depart Beijing July 3,2025 to Hong Kong, then Hong Kong to Chicago ORD also on July 3. Please confirm this will not need a Visa based on the 240 hour Visa exception.

Sorry you will need a visa as 240h visa free requires a A - China - B route and A and B should be different countries or regions. In your case, A and B refer to HK. If you fly out from Beijing for another country or region besides HK, then the 240h applies to you.
