Extending Internship Visa

I will be going to do an internship starting September 1 and lasting until December 20. The organization has offered me a stipend of 2,000 RMB per month to help with living costs. I'm not sure now whether to apply for a F or Z, and whether I would be able to extend it by 1 month once I am in China. Can you advise about that?

Hi, for work Z application, you need to provide work permit and official invitation letter for work. I am not sure if the organization can handle these documents for you or not. If not, you just need to apply for a business F type instead. Also, as I know, the consular officers does not issue it for internship, so I think you can just choose the purpose of visit as non-business visit. Tell the organization as well that do not mension "internship" in the invitation letter.
