tourist visa for 18 year old austrian citizen

Question

My daughter who is 18 (Austrian citizen) will travel to Shanghai and Singapore with her 19 year old Austrian friend.  What does she need to bring to the Chinese consulate in vienna to get it and how long does it take?  Does she have to be there in person to sign anything?thanks..

Hi, your daughter needs to fill the application form and sign it.  For tourist L application itself, a round-trip ticket and hotel reservation are required. She can either apply in person or by someone else entrusted. Regular processing takes 4 working days.
