About:China Tourist Visa

Flying from US to France to China, then back to US Staying with US friend.

My child and I are flying to France for a week, and then to China to visit a friend for a week. The friend is a US citizen teaching English in China and we are staying at her apartment. We would not have proof of hotel, and would not have a direct roundtrip from US to China. Would this be okay for the L visa?

Then you need to provide an invitation letter from your friend and copies of his passport and residence permit instead of the hotel reservation. Flight ticket to and out of China is ok no matter where you are travel from.
