i am an american, on a student visa in russia till june 15

Question

I know i can apply for a (L) tourist but i have no idea what documents are required.  Can someone link me to a list?  I already attempted to attain it once but they said I didn't have all the documents I needed (I had all necessary documents for applying for a chinese L in the US).

Did you provide original and copy of your student visa in Russia? it is requried if you apply there. Round-trip ticket, hotel booking, original passport valid for more than 6 months, copy of passport data page, application form and photo are required for tourist L application.
