Question

I would also like to know the names of a couple of clean and reasonably priced hotels.  I am thinking of staying for 3 to 4 weeks.

You need to fly to HK first. Then you have two methods to reach ST. The first one is to fly from HK to Jieyang Chaoshan airport. Then use the airport shuttle bus to reach ST directly.The second one is to take the HK airport cross-border buses to reach ST in around 6 hours directly. If you plan to stay around 3 to 4 weeks, Jinjiang Inn at  No. 6, Hengshan Road is the best choice. Besides, the Home Inn is also suggested.
