About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Question Transit

I am flying from Los Angeles to Singapore with a layover in Guangzhou Airport. My layover is for 21 hour. Does the 72 hour visa free apply in my case. I want to get out of the airport for a few hours and visit the city of Guangzhou. I have the same situation on the return flight. . I have a valid US Passport.
Thank you

Yes, sure. You can transit freely both ways in Guangzhou. The permit allows you to go out of the airport for sightseeing.
