It is easy and popular to visit the Badaling section. Well, take a high speed train at Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station to Beijing South. At Beijing South Train Station metro station, take subway line 4 to Xizhimen. Then walk to the nearby North Train Station to take a train to Badaling. For the back trip, you can use the same way!1
