About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Canadian travel to Tokyo via Shanghai Depart on May 14, so this is 'Urgent'

I'm a Canadian buy a ticket to Tokyo and the flight is Toronto - Chicago - Tokyo - Shanghai - Tokyo - Chicago and back to Toronto. Stay in Shanghai 3 days as transit then to Tokyo 14 days. Am I qualified for the 72hr Visa Free stay?

No, this itinerary is actually a return trip, so you have to apply for a Chinese tourist L or transit G in advance.
