About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

London - Guangzhou (via Beijing) - Guangzhou 72 hours? - Tokyo (via Beijing)

Hi would the following work?

London - Guangzhou (via Beijing) - stay up to 72 hours in Guangzhou - Tokyo (via Beijing again)?

Would the Guangzhou stop count as a layover eligible for 72 hours visa free stay since I have to get out of my way to get there?

No, you have to apply for a transit G in advance, because 72 hour free transit is for direct transit via one eligible city only.
