layover of more than 20 hours in shanghai, how to get a transit visa

Question

I've a flight to Macau from new Delhi via Shanghai, the flight will reach in the morning and leave for macau next day morning. How can I get a transit pass/visa, carier China Eastern

Hi, visa is not required if your stopover in Shanghai is less than 24 hours. But you have to apply for a stay permit after arrival at Shanghai airport if you plan to go out of the airport for a hotel.
