About:China Tourist Visa

Can you apply for an L visa in a country that isn't that of your nationality?

I am a British national currently studying in Beijing and wish to go traveling in South Korea for a month after my student type expires. Am I able to apply for the L tourist type in South Korea in order to go back to Beijing for a few days to get my things before going back to the UK?

Hi, as I remember, you can not apply for L in South Korea if you are not a ARC holder. It means you have to be a resident there for application. But you are advised to contact CVASC in seoul for direct answer. Call: 1670-1888 / 02-6260-8888

BTW, you can avail 72 hour free transit in Beijing if you fly from South Korea to UK via Beijing airport. This is just an option.
