Transit rules for less than 24hours

Hi. I am a Filipino passport holder and transitting in China for just 17hours. Can I go out of the airport to see China? Or do I need to get a visa just to get out of the airport for less than 24 hours? Please advice. Thanks

You needn't apply for any one. When you arrive at the airport, you need to apply for a stay permit from the frontier inspection station.
