Generally, your plan is doable, but there are too many attractions on D4. It may be not easy for a 4-year-old kid. If possible, just go to the Terracotta Warriors, Bell Tower and Muslim Quarter on that day!

In Beijing, you are advised to east at Qianmen Street or Wangfujing Street. In XA, Muslim Quarter shall be the best choice.

You can buy the train tickets at the train ticket offices in the two cities or local Railway Stations! Or you can also book the ticket in advance through an agency like Travel China Guide, but you need to pay some service fee! If you are interested, the email address of Travel China Guide is bookingtravelchinaguide.com

In the two cities, the metro system and buses are very convenient and easy to catch. Don't worry!
