1. Can I use 20 yuan deposit on my smart card to pay transportation or I must always recharge it when it comes to 20 yuan?2. My kid about 120 cm tall. Can I use one smart card for both of us to travel with metro? If so, how can two of us pass through entrance gate? Do I have to carry him at that moment?Thank you in advance.

As I know, the 20RMB deposit on your card cannot be shown when you use on the public transportations. When it comes to 20RMB, it will show that there is no money on your card. It means that you need to recharge it when it comes to 20RMB (cannot be shown). The child below 120cm are free, but for your kids, it is really hard to tell, because he is just at the critical point. So it is better to consult the staff at the subway stations.If he can take the subway for free, you can ask him to go quick with you behind you, so that you can pass the entrance easily.
