Visas for mainland China and HongKong for Ecuadorian and US

Do i need a double entry if I plan to go to Beijing and Hong Kong? Or do I need 2 visas (one for China and 1 for HK?).
Also: We are a family of 4, 1 a uS citizen, the other 3 with double citizenship (Ecuadorian & US). Is there a cost advantage using the ecuadorian passport?

Hi, you just need to apply for one to Beijing only, because you all enjoy free stay in HK for 90 days. For application fee, it is cheaper with Ecudorian passport holders. But if you apply in US, you can only use your US passport for application as China does not admit dual citizenship.
