The free shuttle buses are only provided for AE useers. To take that, you need to show Airport Express train ticket (Single Journey, Same Day Return, Round Trip, AE Travel Pass), Airline ticket / boarding pass, Airport Staff Octopus Card, AsiaWorld-Expo entry pass or event ticket. No need to apply online by the way.
