About:Getting to Kunming

Do you know how much it would cost to rent a car to get to the Earth Forest on the 25th of January from Kunming?

I would like to visit the Earth Forest in Tulin on the 25th of January and back to KM for the night. Do you know how much it would cost for a car and driver to get to the Earth Forest and back to KM? Is there public transportation available otherwise?

Hi, Tania.
I only hire a car and a driver from Yuanmou to Tulin instead of KM and I suggested you to do so, because the fare will be so high if you directly hire a car to Tulin from KM.
From KM West Bus Station, you can find frequent buses for Yuanmou starting from 08:00 with interval around 40 minutes. Upon reaching Yuanmou Bus Station, you can hire a car and the fare is around 160 to 180RMB for the Langbapu Tulin for the single trip and 300 t0 320RMB for around trip.
