How to extend S2 Visa after entering to China

I am working in Suzhou. My current one is valid till 5-June-14.I took my wife using S2 type.It valid only for 30 days.Now want to extend hers.Is it possible to extend

How did they give only 30 days when the max you could have got would had been for 180. Had you applied for 30 day stay in your visa application ?

Yes, you can extend your wife's S2 at local PSB. The police officer will decide how long your wife can stay.

Yes it can be extended.But the exetnsion cannot be more than the stay duration mentioned in the original visa which in your case is 30 days. Between I am just curious did you apply for 30 day S2 or the embassy by default issued it irrespective of what you stated in the application.
