Exit China by Land Border

I am an Australian citizen wanting to travel through China for around three months arriving by air from Sydney but exiting via the land border with Kyrgyzstan. How do I reconcile this with the round trip airfare requirement?

Actually, you just have to show the air ticket for leaving PRC and it's ok for applying for the L type.
