Passport only valid for 5 months

So, my school will be having a trip to China for 5 days on the first week of December, but my passport will expire on May which makes it only 5 months valid. Although, the school was able to get me a China Visa. Will there be any problems? Will they let me enter? Also, I'm already in a process of renewing my passport. But I won't get to get it until 3rd week of December. Somebody please reply. Thanks! :) x

Hi, if you plan to apply for a Chinese visa, your passport should be valid for at least 6 months. Otherwise, the embassy will not accept your application. So, better try to get your passport renewal application expedited.
