I went to bus station today, and buses 942, 974 are going..Im just not sure if they go until JSL section, since nobody speaks english :( Pls any help? From our hotel we got information that we can't do it ourselves ( for Mutianyu ) cause bus goes until Huai Rou and then they said, taxi's gonna charge us 200 CNY to the Great Wall. Is there any public bus going to the Great Wall ( Mutianyu, since JSL is closed), coz we have just 2 days in Beijing! So tomorrow or after tomorrow..

The tourist buses stop and the current 942 and 974 do not reach Jinshanling.
To reach Mutianyu, you can take the bus line 916 from Dongzhimen to Huairou North Street Stop and then change to bus line 936 to reach Mutianyu Great Wall Station. Then you still need to walk about 3km to reach the Wall.
I think you can hire a taxi from Huairou to the Wall and the price of taking taxi directly at the Huairou is not so high. The fare is around 100RMB for a round trip.

I went today but from Badaling...Since high season is over, it's really hard to go on your own by public transport
