About:China Visa Application in USA

Visa Requirements for Tourist Visa to China for someone from NC - USA?

1 - I live in Charlotte, NC. Is the China Embassy in Washington DC where I send my documents for a visa?
2 - Do I use the on-line application or should I do hard copy printout to submit with my passport?
3 - Details of the Oct/Nov 2025 trip are still being developed. Does this have to be finalized before I can submit for a visa? I noticed some input lines for where I would be staying.
4 - What is the mailing address where I would send the application, passport and check for processing?

1. Yes, you need to submit application to Embassy of PRC in Washington DC.
2. You need to fill in the application form online and then print it out and sign it. After that, submit all required documents to the embassy. To know all documents needed, please visit https://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/visa/tourist.htm.
3. It doesn't need to be a final itinerary. A rough plan is fine. BTW, it is usually advised to submit the application 1-2 months before departure.
4. Mailed applications are not acceptable and will be returned, meaning that you need to go in person.
