One day stopover in Shanghai

Hi we will be going there in August for one night stopover - could you tell me the easiest way to get in SH city and have a tour before we leave the next night. Where is the best place to stay- would it be better to stay out near the airport or go into the city and stay

I suggest you stay near the Bund or Nanjing Road. To reach there, you can take Maglev to Longyang road first and then transfer to local subway line 2 to East Nanjing Road and easily walk to the place you are going to stay.
