About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Cruise Ship stopover visa requirement.

I am traveling to Shanghai by cruise ship with a one day stopover in April 2017. I am an Australian citizen departing and returning to Australia. Leanne.

Leanne, if the country you come from is different from the next country the cruise ship will head to, you may be able to enjoy the 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai. You should contact with the cruise ship company and inquire about that.
Otherwise, you need to apply for a visa in advance.
