About:Chinese Consulate in Vancouver

Can I get a visa when I land in ShangHai?

How fast can I get one if I apply in person and wait at the Center? My 98 year old mother is in critical condition. It is long week end and I can't do anything. Do you have an emergency special policy?

Considering of your situation, you can apply for the port visa when you arrive at Shenzhen, Beijing and other ports allowed to issue such one. But you need to provide related required document. I have no idea about the required document. You might contact the CVASC branch in your consular for help.
