About:Shanghai Travel

I have a layover in Shanghai, and want to know if I can leave the Airport. Do i need a visa?

The layover is about 19hours. I am a South African citizen so we usually need visas... I want to know if I have to try and get one or can I just go there and get a day pass or something on the airport?

Thanks

The visa is not needed.
You can apply for the 24-hour stay permit when you reach the airport, so that you can get out of the airport.
