kunming to lijiang by rail

Question

My flight reaches Kunming on Jan 15th 2014 afternoon & I plan to take a night train to Lijiang on the same day itself. Would it be possible to purchase the train tickets after I reached Kunming ?Alternatively, Is there a website where I could purchase the tickets online in advance ?Which train station to Lijiang in Kunming ? Thanks.

i sugges that you book the ticket in advance, or you may not able to get a ticket the day you reach Kunming. you can book with this site, TravelChinaGuide, and then collect the ticket at the Kunming railway Station after your arrival. the train leaves from Kunming Railway Station and arrives at Lijiang Railway station.
