About:China Transit Visa

Hi, I am an Australian travelling from Sydney to Istanbul in Turkey, with an 18 hour layover in Beijing. Can I leave the airport?

What visa will I need? Where and when do I get it?

For your case, no visa is needed and you can get out of the airport. Actually, you are qualified for the 72h free-visa policy. For details, it is suggested to consult your airline.
