I am a Rat male (1972)and was dating a Monkey woman (1980)

We dated for 2 and half years, but we just broke up and the relationship was very unpleasant and difficult the last 6 months. I thought Monkey was one of the most compatible signs for a Rat. This seems like one of the worst relationships I ever had. Why?

Just as you thought, the rat and monkey will become a prefect match based on Chinese astrology, but it is not always certain. To extent, the Chinese astrology is just for reference.
