Business F Visa, but entering Shanghai 1 day before effective date, is it OK?

As above, I have a Business F Visa for entry on Sunday, but I would like to enter on Saturday instead. Holding a Singapore passport, I have visa-free entry for 15 days (as a tourist), was wondering if my early entry will be allowed under this technicality - please advice.
