About:Chinese Embassy in Canada

I am travelling to china for 2 or 3 days before going to australia. Do i need a visa for the 2 days

If you just fly to Australia via Beijing, Shanghai or Guangzhou, you can enjoy 72 hour free transit. But if you transit via other cities in mainland PRC, you have to apply for a visa in advance.
