About:China Flight

flying into Beijing, then would like to go to Xian, and Hong Kong. Question

We are flying into Beijing for 2 days then we are off to Xian to visit Terra-Cota Army. But we would also like to go to Hong Kong. What is the best way to travel to Hong Kong from Xian? When I search from Xian to Hong Kong, I can't seem to find train information. Please advice. I will have a china visa.. Does Hong Kong require a different visa?

Thanks

There is no direct train from Xian to HongKong. You could take plane from Xian to Guangzhou first and then take the train from Guangzhou to HongKong. People from some countrie is allowed to enter HongKong without a visa. You'd better to figure it out yourself.

You'd better take flight between Hong Kong and Xi An. It's not expensive. USA passport should not need a visa to go into Hong Kong. But when you are back to Xi An, you need china visa. In another word, you need multiple entry visa if you go to chian then Hong Hong then back mainland china again.

You might also consider the train from xian to shenzhen. And from shenzhen you can take the subway at the luohu station into hong kong. Costwise it is cheaper combo since the guangzhou to hong kong, kowloon uses a high speed rail
