Is it safe to rent a bicycle and ride along Hutong & Beihei park without tourguide in Beijing?

Where can we rent a bicycle at chongwenmen station? Or where in Hutong area?

Yes, it is safe to rent a bike to visit the Hutong and the park and I do not think a tour guide is needed.
Before the Chongwenmen Hotel, there is a place to rent a bike. The closest renting place to Hutong area is the one at the National Art Museum of China Back Street and it is in front of BJ Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
