Visa for British national

I'm in Thailand for tourism purposes, I'm a British passport holder, I would like to know that is it possible for me to apply for a Chinese Tourism L from Thailand.

I have all the necessary documents such as Invitation letter etc for it.
I've had few Chinese visas in past.
