I am an Australian citizen. Can I get visa from Colombo

I am an Australian Citizen currently visiting my relatives in Sri Lanka. My spouse is scheduled to visit China on a business trip first week of September. I wish to join him there and would like to know would it be possible for me to get one from Colombo. An early reply will be greatly appreciated. Chitra
