do we need to pay for any ticket for entering great wall?

if we wanna travel from wuhan by train which station should we stop? and how to enter the Great wall?  is it okay if we travel there without any guide?

But what is your destination city departing from Wuhan by train? Is it Beijing? And which section of the wall would you like to visit? Generally, you need to pay the entrance ticket to visit except those wild sections. For the well-known sections like Badaling and Mutianyu, you can travel on your own without a guide.
