I will be going to the Yellow river scenic area from Luoyang. Is there a private/ toursit bus i can take.

There is no direct bus unless you hire a private one. Generally, tourists take a train from Luoyang to ZZ city first. Near ZZ Railway Station, take bus no. 16 to the scenic area directly. The train ticket costs CNY17.5-19.5/person. And bus no. 16 costs CNY5.

You can buy the entrance ticket and pay the fee for taking hovercraft at the main entrance. Then the staff or guiding sign will direct you to the boarding location.

And you can cover both Shaolin Temple and Longmen Grottoes in a day. It is best to hire a private car to travel. Besides, I remember there are shuttle buses between the two attractions: leaving Longmen Grottoes at 10:30 and 15:30 and from SHoalin Temple at 13:30 and 16:30.

Luoyang High-speed train station is Longmen Train Station, around 1.5km from which there is a Di Du Fu Hotel. Go for a try!

I noticed on the map that there is a train line to Ji Yuan from Luoyang. Is this faster; how much and how frequent is the train service. And how to get to Huanghe area from Ji Yuan. Is XIAOLANG DI the same place as Yellow river scenic area. There is another YR Geological Park . Which is the correct one.

If by train, it is more recommended to travel from Luoyang to Zhengzhou first, which is much closer to the river scenic area than Jiyuan. Then you can travel as the way I mentioned above. I remember there are around 60 trains running between LY and ZZ city.

Xiaolangdi and YR Scenic Area are different attractions and the River Geological park is a scenic spot in YR Scenic Area.

Thank you for your reply. I take it to mean that the Yellow River Scenic area is the same as area as the Geological park, and one entry ticket is enough? Are there any cafes or restaurants in the Park.

Yes, you just need to buy one ticket for entry.

There are restaurants in the scenic area, but I don't see any cafe.
